Welcome to Explore Skye Private Tours. These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern your booking and participation in our tours and sightseeing experiences. Please read them carefully before making a reservation. By booking with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
Our aim is to provide you with an enjoyable and safe experience, so these T&Cs help ensure clear communication and protect the interests of both you and the company.
Location of Operation: Based on the Isle of Skye – tours available throughout Scotland
Types of Tours Offered: Private sightseeing, walking tours, and shore excursions for cruise passengers

Cancellation by Explore Skye: Full refund.

You may request to reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before the tour departure, subject to availability.
Requests made within 48 hours of departure are not guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.
No rescheduling is possible within 24 hours of the tour.
No-shows will be charged in full.
Poor weather is not considered valid grounds for rescheduling. Tours go ahead in all weather unless deemed unsafe by the company.
All rescheduling requests must be made in writing via email and are only confirmed once we reply with written confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children must use a car seat until they are either 12 years old or 135 cm tall, whichever comes first.
We do not provide child car seats. Please bring your own if required.
All participants are strongly advised to hold comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, delays, lost or damaged belongings, medical expenses, and any activities included in the tour.
While we carry public liability insurance, this does not cover your personal travel issues or costs.
The company accepts no liability for injury, loss, damage, or expenses arising from your failure to obtain adequate insurance.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Bookings are processed via WeTravel, which will apply a 2% service fee.
The remaining balance is due no later than 28 days before the tour.
Full payment upfront is also accepted.
Payment plans can be arranged upon request.
Tours operate in all weather conditions, including rain and wind.
Due to Scotland's variable climate, please come prepared with appropriate waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.
Refunds will not be issued due to poor weather unless the tour is cancelled by us for safety reasons.
In the rare event of a weather-related cancellation, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
Our vehicles are not wheelchair accessible and do not have ramps or lifts.
However, we are happy to accommodate guests who use a foldable wheelchair and are able to board with assistance.
If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us before booking.
Some walking routes may be steep, muddy, uneven, or slippery, especially in wet weather.
These walks are optional. Guests who prefer not to walk may remain at or near the vehicle.
We recommend sturdy, waterproof footwear and a reasonable level of fitness.
Please contact us with any mobility concerns prior to your tour.
Our vehicles have limited luggage space. Please discuss your luggage needs in advance.
Large or bulky items may not be accepted unless pre-arranged.
Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited in all vehicles and during the tour, except during designated breaks away from other guests.
Airport pick-ups are available by prior arrangement only.
Flight details must be provided at least 48 hours before pick-up.
Delays may affect our ability to meet you as scheduled.
Any additional parking, waiting, or related charges caused by delays will be charged to the guest.
Accommodation is not included in the tour price.
Guests are responsible for arranging their own accommodation prior to booking the tour.
We are happy to assist with recommendations upon request.
Tour prices do not include entrance fees to attractions such as castles, distilleries, ferries, museums, or similar sites.
Guests are responsible for purchasing their own tickets unless otherwise stated.
We are happy to provide advice or assistance with booking in advance.
Participation in our tours is at your own risk.
The company accepts no liability for injury, accidents, loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
Guests are responsible for safeguarding their valuables.
Any incidents must be reported to the company immediately.
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

In the event of such circumstances, Explore Skye Private Tours reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any tour. Where possible, alternative dates or a refund will be offered at our discretion.
